Tabitha the lab/golden in puppy training as a Guide Dog is four months old now! Here she is at 10 weeks. She’s really growing into a gorgeous beast.
Kiwi is also in the Guide Dog program. They’re trying to breed her, thus far to no avail. She’s in here terrible twos (which is quite an improvement).
Patrick the Border Collie puts up with them most of the time.
Kiwi and Tabitha seem to enjoy each other’s company.
Elvis is home alone these days as Maggie has been in the hospital. She became noticeably, and quite suddenly, ill on Sunday. After a lot of tests, they finally figured out she had — essentially — a twisted lung. They did surgery yesterday and we’re all hoping she can come home tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Elvis has energy up the wazoo. Not that Percy minds.
He loves those tug-o-war games.
It’s finals week. I’m grading. Percy is at my feet.
Sometimes, she sleeps elsewhere, as she gets bored being in one place for a long stretch.
“When can we go out and play, Mom?”
“Sheesh. More papers to grade?”
Elivs has a lot of stories. They all start with, “Don’t mess with me.”
Look at these pugs beat up on poor Percy! Here they’re executing a stunning “Double Neck Attack” one of their signature moves.
And just look what they did to her hair-do!
Percy gave me THAT LOOK this morning, the one that says “are finals over yet?” Sadly, they’re still a week away, but ensconced in school rather than pooch I remain.
So, I abandonded my work and took her to the Seal Beach dog park. There she met great friends like the hound, Lucy.
And this amazing doodle: chocolate lab and miniature poodle!
She got worn out; I got happy.
Is this a spoiled dog? Don’t they all ride around in leather-seat comfort with the sun-roof open?
