Buster!

Filed under: Percy — carolyn @ 1:24 pm

The grand reunion happened today. We met Buster at the beach!

Isn’t he a great dog? He prances. I think I am madly in love.
Buster prances

He’s quite a bit bigger than me and a darker red. But sometimes, in looking at the photos, Mom had a hard time telling them apart. This is Buster. I can always tell.

There are other traits we share. (He’s so cute!)
Check out what I can make my ears do!

Buster has learned to bark in order to demand more tossing of the Air Kong. Hmm, that’s something I may need to try (Mom interjects: “Noooo!”)
Buster talking

We each had Air Kongs (though Buster had a really big one). Lots of dogs at the beach thought they were the very best toy. Here are me, a friend, and Buster all lined up and ready to fetch. Throw it, Buster’s Mom!! Throw it!!
All lined up

I keep my eye on the ball at all times. Good baseball skills, no?
Off!

Okay, is there anything wet dogs really like to do more than roll in the sand? I can’t wait to get on Mom’s bed tonight!

Best buddies. I love Buster.

Perfect Beach Weather

Filed under: Percy — carolyn @ 1:55 pm

Here it is, the end of November, and it’s almost 80 degrees at the beach! And some wonder why Southern Californians pay the big bucks to live here. Silly people!
November at the beach

Percy spent over an hour at the beach, much longer than usual. She actually got tired of retrieving the Air Kong and decided to hang on the sand.
Isn't she pretty?

Then, when we got home, she curled up and conked out Big Time. (Yes she is wet and on the couch.)

Percy took Chris to the beach today. She made her toss the Air Kong and Chris was really good at it.

All of the other dogs were jealous. Did Percy care?

9 months old

Filed under: Percy — carolyn @ 2:41 pm

Percy turned 9 months old yesterday. A trip to the vet for flea and heartworm medication revealed her true girth. She’s up to 65 pounds! I don’t know how much taller she’ll get, but she’ll probably fill out more and be a 75-pound adult.

She’s sleepy now, and in the corner of the couch, totally zonked out.
