That’s my doodle.

There were lots of dogs playing at the beach. Percy wanted only to play with pugs.

Even a great dane couldn’t distract them.

I have to face it that pugs have a thing for her, too.

Isn’t it romantic?

“Mommy, can we keep him?”

Percy is a puppy.

She likes to play.

Her energy knows no bounds (for about 45 minutes).

Water is handy for making sand stick to her fur until we get home.

For indeed she is a beach dog.

Percy and I went to the beach this afternoon. We rarely go on Saturday afternoons because it gets pretty crowded, but it had been awhile, the weather was perfect, and Percy needed tuckering out.
First, she met two BIG dogs: great danes.

Then she met a very TINY one.

The little dog was friendly, and jumped up to say “Hi.”

They played for a long time.

And then they watched the sunset.

Percy took Phantom and Brandy to the beach for the first time yesterday. Percy loved it almost as much as they did!

Here, she shows them the ropes.

Brandy became Percy’s new best friend.

They went wading together, too.

Phantom was more interested in showing off his beauty.

Percy managed to have a sand moment all by herself.

And she managed to have a bizarro moment, too.

Percy has some new friends. Phantom has a familial connection; he was raised in part by Puck, my second golden and Percy’s immediate predecessor. Brandy came along a little later, and is full of beans.

Phantom is a gentle man.

Brandy spends her time in high gear.

Phantom has it in him, though.

Brandy would like you to know that she does occasionally stop. Sort of.

Mom took me and my shadow to the beach.

I played with other dogs.

I decided to check out the water pretty carefully.

That’s water dripping off my paw.

Dylan was really nice. He played with me.

We even danced.

Then, this amazing thing happened. Dylan got me to into the water!

I even went in pretty far.

I was a wet dog (and had to get into Kate’s car).
