Percy and her Grown Up Bone
I gave Percy one of Puck’s old rawhides, as she is the Rawhide Queen.

From Percy’s perspective, Maggie is part chew-toy, part grownup, and part evil twin.
Here’s Percy reacting to Maggie.

Maggie and Percy play rough most of the time. Here’s an unusual moment when they’re both standing still.

This is more typical:

Maggie, the pug next door, and Percy are great friends. At least they’re learning. Here’s the cutie-pie Maggie.

Some may think that pugs tend to have heads a little large for the rest of their bodies. Clearly this isn’t the case with Maggie.

Maggie has some wonderful fielding skills. Here she is flagging a ball on the fly.

Percy smelled like she rolled in something pretty disgusting, so it was time for Percy’s First Bath. I was hopeful that she would relish the experience, particularly because she is so smitten with playing paw-in-water-bowl / water-all-over-kitchen. Well, that didn’t happen. She was really unhappy. Oh well. Here she is after a toweling down ready for a long nap.

Percy and I had a spat today. She ran away from me twice and so I played mama dog and shook the scruff of her neck. She knew that I was really mad at her, and so she had to pout awhile under the bed. It took several minutes of lying near her on the floor and gently coaxing her out.

Of course, we did make up. She looked me in the eye.

And then loosened up a little.
